Bicycles 101: Intro to Bicycles and Maintenance - 2 Hours - $50

In this friendly and informative setting, we will discuss bicycle styles, materials, and benefits. You will learn about sizing, different shopping avenues, and bicycle condition and value. We will discuss parts identification, routine maintenance, safety checks, and teach how to fix a flat. Bicycles 201: Fitting Overview - 1 Hour - $15 (12 People Max)

During this lecture you learn ways to increase your riding comfort and performance by knowing how to optimize your bicycle fit. Learn tenants of bicycle fitting and the benefits of different styles of professional bicycle fitting. Course covers the benefits of different bike types, handlebars, grips/bar tape, pedals, brake levers and saddles. Some time for questions and answers at the end as well. Bicycles 301: Fitting for Comfort, Speed, and Agility - 2 Hours - $50

Bring your own bicycle for assessments, minor adjustments, and recommendations so you can be even more in tune with your bike. Increase your riding comfort and performance through this hands-on course by learning ways to optimize your bicycle fit. Learn tenants of bicycle fitting and the benefits of different styles of professional bicycle fitting. Course covers the benefits of different bike types, handlebars, grips/bar tape, pedals, brake levers and saddles. Offered periodically throughout the year. Bicycles 401: Intermediate Maintenance - Two 3 hour sessions - $125

This hands-on course provides information to tune up your bicycle. Class topics include: bike anatomy, adjustments to braking and shifting, truing, wheel, steering, and pedaling. Also includes bearing adjustments to the hubs, headsets, bottom brackets and drivetrain assessment and maintenance recommendations. Class consist of two 3 hour sessions which much be taken within the two consecutive weeks. Offered monthly January - April and Oct - December. Bicycles 501: Emergency Roadside Repair - 2 Hours - $50


When riding longer distances or just from point A to point B, you can carry the knowledge of what it takes to handle any unforeseen problems that may happen out on the road. While working on your own bicycle, we will tackle flat causes and solutions, braking and shifting troubles, chain repair, and more. By knowing the best tools and techniques you will learn how to address all likely facets that cause noises, inconveniences, and break-downs to keep you and yours happily riding. Feel confident to choose the right bike and accessories to keep you warm, dry, and safe during winter riding. This class is primarily lecture and covers tips for maintenance before, during, and after winter as well as riding and clothing pointers. Those who identify as femme, trans, non-binary, two-spirit, and women have historically not always been made to feel comfortable in bicycle spaces. Cherry Cycles offers FTW only classes to create safer spaces for better learning. Classes can be taken in any order.
